The purpose of disabling the automatic update is to prevent any interruption and loss of data during timelapse due to a restart. When the PC is connected to the internet, an automatic update may be installed and the PC will restart.
1. Press Win+R button or Win+S button to open search tool to open the Run menu and enter 'gpedit'.
2. Select 'Edit Group Policy'.
3. Click 'Computer Configuration' > Administrative Templates > Windows Update.
4. Open 'Configure Automatic Update' and select Disabled.
